For Maral Hosseinzadeh, there is an inherent beauty and craftsmanship in antique jewellery that modern day jewellery just can’t replicate. She believes it has the power to tell the story of a person’s life, taking on an immortal quality as it’s passed through generations or presented as a token of love. This deep appreciation for antique pieces was instilled as a young lady, when she would spend much time visiting museums or on outings with her father, scouring flea markets and auctions finding interesting items to buy. It was an early introduction to her lifelong passion for antiques, helping train her eye to spot objects of value and build negotiation skills.

After studying Art History and Classics at the University of Toronto, Maral earned her gemologist certificate from the Canadian Gemmological Association in 2013. She is currently working towards a Master Valuer accreditation.

Maral’s concierge and customized services help distinguish her in an industry dominated by men. She listens and caters to her clientele’s long-term needs and advocates for preloved pieces because they are cruelty-free. As integrity is of utmost importance, she evaluates each piece based on condition, authenticity and price, ensuring that only the most well-made and beautiful pieces come through her shop and into the possession of her clients.
